David Starling is our speaker for MYC 2010
David and his wife Nicole have three young children aged 7, 5 and 3, and belong to Macquarie Baptist Church.
David is a lecturer at Morling College in Sydney, where he teaches New Testament and Theology.
He grew up in NSW, and studied at Sydney Uni before working for several years as a high school English and Legal Studies teacher in Western Sydney.
After theological studies at Moore College and Morling College he served for seven years as the pastor of Petersham Baptist Church in Sydney’s inner western suburbs.
David enjoys music, reading and occasional small doses of sport, and takes particular delight in the opportunities that he gets to share all three of these pleasures with Nicole and the kids. He and Nicole are passionate about the task of fostering a gospel-shaped culture (in both family and church family) that is joyful, holy, hospitable and outward-looking, for the glory of God.
